Social Work Intervention Research Highlighted

The September 2010 special issue of the journal Research on Social Work Practice (Vol. 20, issue 5) is devoted to exploring research on social work interventions for youth at risk, individuals experiencing mental illness and their families, persons involved with the criminal justice system and clinic patients experiencing depression and other health conditions.  The articles address methodological challenges and research designs as well as the current state of social work intervention research, with studies addressing the needs of persons from diverse cultures.  The articles are drawn from the proceedings of the Los Angeles conference on Intervention Research in Social Work, Organized by the University of Southern California School of Social Work and the Institute for the Advancement of Social Work Research (IASWR) in October 2009.
